About us
This website is operated by CCTV Installer Cardiff, an independent security installation business serving Cardiff and South Wales.
Using this website
You may use this site for your own lawful purposes. You may not use it in a way that damages the site, interferes with other users, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to it. The content, layout and design of this site belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.
Information and pricing on this site
The guide prices shown on our service pages are general planning estimates, not quotations and not an offer to contract. Actual cost depends on camera type, cabling, access, recording requirements, network work and property size. A binding price is only given in a written quotation following a survey.
We take care to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free, and specifications and prices may change.
Estimates and quotations
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. A quotation is valid for 30 days from its date unless it says otherwise. Work begins once you have accepted a quotation and we have agreed a date with you.
If conditions on site turn out to differ materially from what was assumed when quoting, we will tell you before carrying out additional work and agree any change in price with you first.
Access and site conditions
You are responsible for providing safe access to the property on the agreed date, and for confirming that you are entitled to authorise the installation. Where a property is rented, leasehold or shared, any necessary permission from the owner or managing agent is your responsibility.
Your responsibilities as a system operator
Once a CCTV system is handed over, you control it and the footage it records. If your cameras capture areas beyond the boundary of your own property, data protection obligations may apply to you. Guidance for domestic and business users is published by the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cancellation
Where you engage us as a consumer away from our business premises, you generally have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us in writing to begin work within that period, and we complete it, you lose the right to cancel once the work is done. Ask us for the cancellation details that apply to your job.
Liability
We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for loss arising from equipment being switched off, disconnected, obstructed, misconfigured after handover, or affected by a failure of your power or internet connection.
No security system prevents crime with certainty. CCTV, alarms and access control reduce risk and support investigation; they do not guarantee that an incident will not occur.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
